Local tails are wagging ahead of the Annual Pooch Fun Morning, which will be held at Aldenham Social Club on Sunday, May 19.
Canine residents of Radlett and beyond are allowed to enter the dog competition, where the hopeful hounds will be darting between poles and dashing down slides. The three categories are Best in Breed, Best Mixed Breed, and Best Rescue.
This year’s competition will be judged by Masha Shaverneva, who has worked with Afghan hounds since 1990. Bedlington terrier specialist Peter Kiernan and gun dog specialist Helen Upton will join Masha on the panel.
Tickets cost £20 per family (two adults and one dog), and children aged 10 and under get free entry. Registration will kick off at 9.45am, the competition will start at 10.30am, and the event will end at 1pm.
Throughout the event, pop-up stalls will offer something for everyone: dogs can visit the dog food stand while children can have their faces painted.
All money raised from ticket sales will go towards the charity Cure Cancer at UCL Cancer Institute.
