BRILLIANT BBQ: Radlett church barbeque proves popular among residents

Published on: 5th October 2021   |   By: Jake Levison   |   Category: Uncategorized

Christ Church & St Johns Church in Radlett have vowed to make their recent Re-Connection Barbeque a regular event.

The barbeque was put together by the church’s Diversity, Inclusion, Cohesion & Engagement (DICE) Committee.

A spokesperson said: “After all the COVID-19 restrictions to church services and our Radlett community, we wanted to bring all those isolating and missing friends and relatives together to reconnect and bring back some semblance of normality to their lives.”

The Phoenix Band, who rehearse in the church hall, attended with kettle drums, gongs and a conductor, adding class to the occasion.

Summer Kitchen provided a mouth-watering barbeque, with meringue nests and chocolate mousse for afters.

A bungee run and Sumo suits were in place for the energetic visitors and a local ice cream van made an appearance, much to the delight of the children.

Reverend Oliver Blease, the church’s new Vicar, welcomed all attendees alongside his wife, Mariama.
