A fire has broken out on the M1 this morning (Monday, September 15) between junction five for Watford and junction four for Edgware.
Around 9.55am, National Highways East reported that two out of the four lanes have been shut due to a vehicle catching fire.
Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue are now reportedly on the scene along with the National Highways officers.
Drivers have been informed of delays of up to 45 minutes and four miles of congestion.
