Following further enquiries, officers can confirm they are investigating reports of shots being fired in Leggatts Rise, near to the Costcutter supermarket, on Wednesday, September 10.
Three teenage boys were approached by another male on foot at around 8.55pm before what is reported as shots being fired. No injuries or any subsequent damage was reported.
The suspect is described as a male, around 6ft tall and wearing all black clothing, including a coat with a hood up.
Detective Inspector Chris Parperi, from the Watford Local Crime Unit, said: “I understand this will be concerning to residents. There will continue to be an increased police presence in the area today and over the weekend whilst we further our investigation.
“We are keeping an open mind as to the circumstances of this incident. If anyone is yet to speak to police and has any information, please don’t hesitate to contact us quoting Operation Zorilla.”
