ALL AT SEA: Theme selected for Abbots Langley village carnival

Published on: 29th January 2023   |   By: Darius Morgan   |   Category: Uncategorized

The renowned Abbots Langley annual carnival is set to return on Saturday, June 10, and preparations are well underway.

Last year, Watford Lions Club (WLC) hosted their 40th anniversary procession, with the theme of ‘Celebrating our Royal Heritage’.

This year, the theme has been selected as ‘All at Sea’. Procession entrants are invited to dress and decorate their floats accordingly, though the theme is not mandatory.

A spokesperson for WLC said: “Everyone is welcome to enter the procession, be you a family group, organisation, charity or community group, pub, school, or local business. Entry is free, and trophies and certificates will be awarded to the winning entries.

“That talented group of needleworkers, the Vintage Crafters, are already making sea-related pieces to adorn the High Street in advance of the date to get us all into the carnival mood.”

Anyone interested in taking part is asked to contact Lynn Luck at

Those hoping to book a stall at the carnival, which will take place in Manor House grounds, please contact Tony and Gill at
