Police are appealing for information about a reported assault in Watford.
The incident occurred in the High Street at around 9.30pm on Thursday January 16, leaving a man aged in his 40s with a significant number of head injuries.
Detective Sergeant Laura Bassett, from Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Case Investigation Team (CIT), said: “We are aware from CCTV enquiries that there was a large crowd of people watching the incident take place who we believe can assist with our investigation.
“In addition, we are aware that people filmed the incident, if you have footage of it, please contact me by emailing laura.bassett@herts.police.uk.”

Aaron Paisley aged 36 of, Eaton Close, Stanmore, has been charged with actual bodily harm, resisting arrest and being in charge of a dog, dangerously out of control, causing injury.
He is next due to appear before St Albans Crown Court for a pre-trial preparation hearing on 18 February.
