Acing it both on and off the court, Hatch End Lawn Tennis Club have been awarded the LTA Excellence Award 2025 by the Lawn Tennis Association.
They were also announced as Club of the Year by Middlesex Tennis.
Chairman Vikas Dabral, club secretary Valerie Piper and head coach Miren Shah collected the awards at a ceremony held at The Queen’s Club in March.
The awards recognised the rise in the club’s junior player sign-ups, major investment in infrastructure, increased engagement with the local community, and a keen focus on inclusivity and diversity.
Speaking to Pinnernews, Vikas said: “We are delighted that these awards recognise the contributions made by past and present volunteers to improve facilities at the club, as well as the club’s ethos of being diverse and friendly.”
Recently, the club, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, received planning permission for LED lighting on three courts.
On Tuesday, May 6, David Simmonds CBE, MP for Northwood, Ruislip and Pinner, officially turned on the new lighting.
