WORLD-CLASS POTENTIAL: Rising Watford fighter claims another spectacular win

Published on: 30th April 2024   |   By: Panayiota Demosthenous   |   Category: Uncategorized

Rising Watford fighter Ellie Harber dominated the ring to claim the first-ever GEWISS belt in her latest fight.

On April 20, MUAY Thai Gala in Debrecen, Hungary saw 18-year-old Ellie square off against experienced Czech fighter Veronika Matzkeova over five fierce two-minute rounds.

From the opening bell, the Watford warrior seized control with her confident, aggressive style, dictating the pace and action. Though her Czech opponent proved durable, Harber’s relentless offence and stellar preparation earned her a clear-cut unanimous decision victory.

Ellie said: “I’m extremely pleased to capture this inaugural GEWISS title belt. Veronika was a game opponent, but I stuck to the perfect game plan devised by my world-class coaches Christian and Lyndon Knowles. Their experience and guidance give me the confidence to implement our strategy flawlessly.”

Ellie has taken home several major wins, including winning at the Iconic MAX Muay Thai Show in August 2023 and being crowned the Under 18s Under 60kg World Boxing Council gold medallist in June 2023.

Ellie’s coach, Lyndon Knowles said: “Ellie is just beginning her journey into the pro ranks, but she’s already displaying world-class potential. Her work ethic, skills and mental toughness are truly special. We’re immensely proud of this outstanding win for Ellie on the international stage against an experienced fighter.”

Ellie is always looking for new sponsors and partners. If you are interested, head to athletemediagroup on Instagram or www.atheletemediagroup.uk
