Two teenage cousins from Kings Langley recently organised an incredible fundraising collection to help young hospital patients celebrate Easter.
Holly and Frankie, aged 15 and 16 respectively, collected more than 200 chocolate Easter eggs to donate to West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals Charity.
The charity also received a donation of more than 600 eggs from the combined efforts of Anytime Fitness in Bushey and Croxley, and hundreds more from the Dacorum Motorcycle Riders.
Thanks to the generosity of the local community, more than 1,000 eggs were collected and distributed to young patients across the hospitals in Watford, St Albans and Hemel Hempstead.
Alison Rosen, CEO of the charity, said: “Holly and Frankie’s initiative to make a difference for young patients who find themselves in hospital is inspiring.
“We are also immensely grateful for the support of our local businesses and supporters who have been so kind and generous; a special shoutout to all the customers who donated an Easter egg to Anytime Fitness for patients at West Herts hospitals.”
