Kings Langley Community Choir united with the Rickmansworth Players Choir for “a wonderful evening of music” at St Paul’s Church in Chipperfield.
The summer concert, held at the end of June, was co-directed by Simone Chiappi and Pete Gold. The Rickmansworth choir’s incredible performance delivered a variety of eclectic songs in the first half.
During the interval, donations were made to the Pump House’s Raise the Roof fund to help the local theatre make essential building improvements.
The second half began with a powerful rendition of Thina Singumlilo Ovuthayo, a traditional Zulu song performed by Kings Langley Community Choir. This was followed by a range of pop and ballad numbers, culminating with a spectacular performance of Somebody to Love by Queen.
To round off the sensational evening, the two choirs combined with performances of One Day Like This by Elbow and Anthem from Chess.
New members are welcome to join Kings Langley Community Choir, with rehearsals commencing on Tuesday, September 9, in Christ Church Baptist, The Nap, Kings Langley.
