Police have released an image of a person they want to identify following a racially aggravated public order offence in St Albans.

The incident occurred on the Arriva 301 bus, which travels from St Peter’s Street towards Stevenage, between 3.45pm and 4.30pm on Thursday, June 15.

It is reported that an individual made racially offensive comments while travelling on the bus.

PC Ryan Coyle, who is investigating, said: “Our enquiries are continuing, and we are appealing for anyone with information to please come forward.

“We are releasing this image because we believe the individual pictured was in the area at the time and may have information that could help our enquiries.

“Were you travelling on the bus at this time and saw what happened, or do you recognise the person pictured? Additionally, if you are the person pictured, please get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Coyle at ryan.coyle@herts.police.uk

You can also report information online, speak to an operator in the Force Communications Room via the online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/49140/23.

Alternatively, you can stay 100 per cent anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form.
