A Kings Langley resident is coming to the end of an epic year-long challenge which has raised money for two cancer charities.
Kerry Pearson has been roller skating ever day since June 25 last year to raise money for Cancer Research UK and Sarcoma UK. Along the way, she has shared her journey on her Instagram account, which now has 11.8k followers.
The challenge has a special place in Kerry’s heart after she lost both her mother and father-in-law to cancer.
Speaking to Kings News, Kerry said: “I would not have been able to do this if it wasn’t for the fact I wanted to do something positive at the end of what has been a tough year.
“It is something I wanted to as a legacy for my mother and father-in-law.”
Kerry added that throughout the year, she has fallen in love with roller skating.
She said: “It is a really great sporting exercise, and the community has been like something I have never experienced. Everyone is there to raise each other up.”
Kerry has launched an online raffle, which closes on Sunday, with some top skating prizes up for grabs.
