Kings Langley FC suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat to Bromsgrove Sporting FC this evening (December 3).
The Lango made the 110-mile trip to Birmingham to only concede a penalty just two minutes into the match.
Sporting’s Greg Mills was able to calmly score from the spot kick to put the home side 1-0 ahead.
On the half-hour mark, Mills followed that up with his second goal from a second set piece, this time in the form of a direct free kick.
Just before half time, in the 41st minute, Sporting solidified their lead to 3-0 after they broke down the Kings attack as Michael Taylor sprinted his way through the defence and calmly slotted the ball into the back of the net.
Kings Langley had a lot of work to do in the second half, and they had plenty of opportunities to claw their way back into the game, but a well-rehearsed Bromsgrove side was able to flaunt their chances until the 87th minute.
The Lango’s Mitchell Weiss got his name onto the scoresheet to make it 3-1.
The match however, wasn’t over yet. Callum Adebiyi conceded a penalty a minute later and was sent off for the foul.
Bromsgrove’s Shaquille Mcdonald, who was fouled in the box, was able to finish the game off 4-1 from the spot kick.
Kings Langley sit 17th in the Southern League Central Division having failed to win any of their last six games.
They next play on Saturday, December 7 at home versus 6th position AFC Rushden and Diamonds.
