A bowling alley in Garston has been transformed following a £350,000 makeover.
Hollywood Bowl, at Woodside Leisure Park, reopened on November 19 with an exclusive VIP event to celebrate the transformation of the centre.
Hosted by a Marilyn Monroe lookalike, guests celebrated in Hollywood style as they popped bottles of bubbly and commemorated the glitzy makeover of the venue.
There were also double celebrations as the centre also marked its 25th birthday at the same time.
The latest generation Hollywood Bowl is complete with 27 bowling lanes and quintessential American décor.
Visitors looking for the real ‘star’ treatment can also make use of five renovated VIP lanes including one extra special lane which boasts total privacy.
In addition to the upgraded lanes, guests can also treat themselves to a new range of meals and snacks as the menu has been updated.
The centre’s arcade area has also been transformed and now features the most popular games including Space Invaders, Mario Kart, Superbikes 3, Halo and Nerf.
There is also the opportunity to play for prizes, where visitors can win tickets on their favourite games and exchange them for a range of fun rewards.
Jan Smith, manager at Hollywood Bowl, said: “The refurbishment has not only given the centre a completely new look, it’s given our guests so much more variety too.
“The response from customers so far has been overwhelmingly positive, and we’re thrilled to be able to celebrate the centre’s 25th birthday in style.
“It’s a whole new entertainment haven. Whether it’s for family fun, kids or adults birthday parties, work functions, nights with dates or mates or simply an excuse to celebrate the weekend – you name it, our team has got it covered.”
