An “exceptional” swimming teacher from Watford Leisure Centre – Woodside has been nominated for a regional award.
According to the centre, Corinne McClatchie’s expertise “spans all levels, from parent and baby classes to advanced swimmers at stage 9/10, school lessons, and even water polo”.
It is therefore no surprise that she has been nominated for the Swim England Teacher of the Year Award for the South East region.
A spokesperson shared on social media: “We are proud to nominate Corinne… due to her exceptional teaching skills and unwavering dedication.
“Her lessons are consistently outstanding, tailored to meet the unique needs of each group.
“Her passion for swimming education and ability to inspire excellence truly makes her a standout teacher who deserves this nomination.”
One resident responded: “Well done, Corinne! I must thank you for having given both my little ones so much love for swimming and confidence in the water over the last few years.”
The winners will be announced on the Swim England website at www.swimming.org
