More than 200 people took part in a charity race to raise money for East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust hospitals, including Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in Northwood.
The first-ever Rainbow Run was held at Ridlins Athletic Stadium in Stevenage on October 2, and saw racers take part in 2.5km, 5km or 10km routes in a course that also saw them covered in powder paint.
A total of 250 people took part and helped to raise more than £22,000.
The money raised will be donated to four hospitals: Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, Lister Hospital, Hertford County Hospital and New QEII Hospital.
Liz Hill raised £1,420 for Mount Vernon, where she is currently being treated for cervical cancer.
She said: “I was diagnosed with cervical cancer in May this year and since then my life and the lives of those close to me have been flipped over.
“My sister, Ellie, found out about the Rainbow Run and thought what a great idea it would be to give something back to the hospital that is treating me, as well as giving us all a focus.”
