Police have released the CCTV image of a person they would like to identify following a theft from a motor vehicle in St Albans.

Cash was stolen from a vehicle parked in Harpenden Road at around 5.30am on Sunday, April 24. Two further reports from the same street around the same time of someone trying car doors were also received.

PCSO Adriano Russo, of the St Albans Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “The person in the image was in the area around the time of the incident and could be able to assist with our enquiries.

“If you recognise them then please get in touch. I can be contacted via email at adriano.russo@herts.police.uk

“I would also like to remind vehicle owners to ensure their vehicles are locked when left unattended to deter this kind of incident.”

You can also report information online at herts.police.uk/report, speak to an operator in the Force Communications Room via the online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/32349/22.

Alternatively, you can stay 100 per cent anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org
