Following the challenges of the pandemic, the Woodland Manor Care Home, in Chalfont St Peter, decided to take part in the National Activity Providers Association (NAPA) Wellbeing Walk 2021.
Residents and staff members were excited to undertake a 24-Hour Walking Challenge on June 4, 2021.
Residents and staff walked a continuous mile-long loop around their home throughout the day and night.
Staff were particularly excited to support all of the residents who wanted to be actively involved throughout the day.
Through their 24-hour walk, Woodland Manor raised money for both NAPA and the Chilterns Dog Rescue Society, two charities close to the hearts of those at the home.
Woodland Manor would like to thank several local companies for supporting their 24-hour walk. They received treats from Co-op in Chalfont St Peter, balloons from Cardella in Gerrard’s Cross and brownie boxes from Eat Epic Brownies. Staff say they are so proud to be part of such a caring community.
