Churchill Retirement Living invited Pinner residents enjoy coffee, cake and friendly company at its Heath Lodge development after raising hundreds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event, which is part of the charity’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning campaign, took place on Wednesday, September 25 at the development on Marsh Road.
Visitors were treated to coffee, cakes and biscuits in the Owners’ Lounge, and Churchill Retirement Living donated £5 to Macmillan for every visitor who attends.
Churchill Retirement Living has a special relationship with Macmillan Cancer Support and has raised over £436,000 for the charity since 2009.
Churchill’s Regional Managing Director Jason Colmer said: “We are delighted to once again be involved in Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. These events are not only a fantastic way to raise money for a very worthwhile cause, but also an opportunity to get the local community together.”
A spokesperson said: “I’m pleased to report that the Heath Lodge coffee morning raised a total of £370 for Macmillan, which includes a £150 contribution from Churchill for the number of visitors who attended.
“There was a raffle and cakes and a good time was had by all. With all the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning events taking place at our developments across the country, Churchill has already smashed last year’s total of £36,000 raised for Macmillan, with the final total still to be confirmed.”
