Watford FC has paid tribute to season ticket holder Matt Allcock who suddenly collapsed after attending Kings Langley FC away match at Weymouth.
Matt, 46, was KLFC’s number one fan and his death has shocked everyone in the area.
A tweet from Watford FC invited supporters to show their support for Matt and his family by attending KLFC home game against Staines Town this Saturday (January 26).
The game will have ‘pay-what-you-want’ entry, with all proceeds going to Matt’s family.
The tweet from @WatfordFC read: “Not travelling to Newcastle on Saturday? Why not show your support for the family of @KLFCofficial fan & #watfordfc season ticket holder Matt Allcock.”
Watford Ladies have also supported the event by quote-tweeting the message and saying: “Come and show your support!”
A JustGiving page has been set up with all donations going to Matt’s family, with a target of raising £5,000. At the time of writing, 73 per cent of that target had been raised in three days.
