A local recovery company was out helping residents get home during the snow recently.
Sam Foster, 22, was in his bright red tractor, along with Jordan-Reese McCann of Springfield Close, giving vehicles a gentle tow along Baldwins Lane as drivers were struggling to get up the hill.
Sam, who owns SJF Recovery, based in Croxley Green, was out to help people and promote his recovery business.
He said: “It’s part of my company. A van got stuck and it went from there. I was driving about advertising for my business and helping people who are stuck.
“We helped about 10 people. I just like going out and helping people to be honest. If it snows again, I’ll be out there helping people out.”
Kirsty Arabella Merison, who was one of the people helped expressed her gratitude towards Sam, Jordan-Reese and his company.
She said: “After an unexpected two-hour journey from Harefield, being six months pregnant and with a toddler in tow, I was at a loss when my car, so near to home, got stuck on what seemed only like slight slush on Winton Drive.
“I saw two massive head lamps coming towards me and a gentleman on foot. I was surprised and happy saying “Is that a Tractor!?”. I just couldn’t believe this fabulous red tractor appeared at that moment to help me. The tractor driver and the chap on foot were so nice and ready to help. They pulled us in the car to the end of my road and finally I was home.
“I moved to Croxley Green only four months ago and I knew there was a community feel, but this has exceeded all expectations. Thank you, Sam and Jordan.”
