Watford FC fans have paid tribute to a fan who tragically died after being shot by a terrorist in the Tunisian beach massacre. Chris Dyer, who was killed at the Tunisian beach resort, was a huge Watford FC fan and fellow supporters left flowers, shirts, scarves and other tributes to him outside a garage on Vicarage Road. Earlier the Watford FC team tweeted: “Extremely sad to hear about Watford FC fan Chris Dyer, who unfortunately died in the Tunisia attacks. Thoughts are with his family. RIP.” Gina Van Dort and husband Chris Dyer were on holiday in the Imperial Marhaba hotel in Sousse, but on June 26 they were in the firing line of the terrorist attacks as they sat in the hotel which backs onto the beach where the massacre took place. Chris was shot in the head and died whilst Gina was also shot in the face but was lucky to survive. When medics arrived, Gina managed to find the strength despite her injuries and refused to let go of her husband of two years. Medics said she had been shot under the chin and the bullet exited through her eye; she lost her left eye and following a tracheotomy she is unable to speak.
