It is not too late to show off your favourite dog and lend a paw to Chorleywood’s newest charity at the same time.
Mission EmployAble, which is raising money with Chorleywood Cricket Club for a new pavilion and café, is calling on dog lovers to enter a photo of their ‘furbulous friend’ in Mission WoofAble, a virtual dog show, which closes on November 20.
Erica Bendall, chair of Mission EmployAble’s fund-raising committee, said the closing date for entries has been extended because many residents were disappointed to have missed the previous deadline.
She said: “We already have many gorgeous photos of dogs on our site and now we’re expecting even more.”
Prizes will be awarded in eight categories (plus Best In Show):
- Best Friends
- Doggy Diva
- Playful Puppy
- Love To Dress Up
- Grumpy Grown-up
- Most Loved Rescue
- Handsome Hound
- Gone But Not Forgotten
Each entry costs £2.50 with all proceeds going to Mission EmployAble.
Entries will be judged by former singer and producer Shirlie Kemp and photographer Jo Day.
