A village company is set to help the Kings Langley Carnival go green this year for the first time.
The Kings Langley Carnival, which will take place on June 25, from 12noon to 5pm, is the high spot of the summer with performers, local food and craft stalls, fun and games across the Common – and mountains of rubbish.
Dacorum Borough Council has not been able to provide recycling bins, but now local company Imagination Technologies, who design and license computer chip designs for AI and graphics, are sponsoring a comprehensive clean-up at the carnival.
Simon Beresford-Wylie, Imagination CEO, said: “Supporting the Kings Langley Carnival to be more environmentally friendly was an obvious choice, as we want to help our local community to be more sustainable.
“We hope everyone has a great time at the carnival and together, we ensure nothing goes to landfill that can be recycled.”
This year there will be specific bins for food waste, glass, paper and card, and plastics, cans and tins so that everything put into them is recycled.
