The British monarchy has fascinated the public for hundreds of years but behind the glamour there is a huge amount of domestic work that goes into running the royal households.
In a recent study conducted by Premier Inn, the addresses of 723 companies who hold a Royal Warrant have been analysed to reveal where in the UK makes the most royally approved goods.
The research found that Hertfordshire hosts one of the most with 22 Royal Warrant Holders including a selection of businesses in St Albans.
The St Albans businesses are GD Golding Tailors LTD, K R Hannaford LTD, Premier Foods and Selectaglaze LTD.
These businesses are some of over 700 companies who provide goods and services to the royals; luxury goods that one might expect such as Cartier, Aston Martin and Bollinger, but more domestic companies have also been awarded Royal Warrants for supplying more ‘everyday’ items such as foodstuffs, toilet roll, IT services, dry cleaners and fire alarms.
