Three Rivers Music Society are excited for their upcoming concerts coming up in October.

A special performance showcasing local talent will be held in Chorleywood Memorial Hall and will be led by renowned Chorleywood-based violinist, Peter Nall.

One of the most remarkable musical compositions of the 19th century will be performed with pieces by Felix Mendelssohn and Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky being played.

Peter, a former member of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and his ensemble will also perform Tchaikovsky’s much-loved Serenade in C major for Strings, opus 48.

Tchaikovsky composed this music in 1880, and as he later said, he wrote it “from inner compulsion. It is a heartfelt piece”.

The 3pm concert will be held at Chorleywood Memorial Hall, Common Road, Chorleywood WD3 5LN. Tickets are £16 at the door (reduced price for Three Rivers Music Society members).

Free entry for under-25s.

For the first time ever, David Halls, director of music at Salisbury Cathedral, his daughter Caroline and his brother Steven combine with their long-time friend and professional colleague, Daphne Moody are presenting a unique programme at a concert in Rickmansworth on Saturday, October 26.

The concert will be held in the Baptist Church, High Street, Rickmansworth WD3 1EH. It will begin at 7.30pm.
