It promises to be a very Merry Christmas at The Queen’s Head in Pinner this year. The entertainment line up has been announced and the landlord, Sean White, has confirmed the historic pub will be open on Christmas Day and in the evening. The pub will be asking customers to paint the town pink when they hold a charity evening on Sunday December 21. Sean said: “The charity evening is a great way to launch the festive entertainment and we’re delighted we can help raise money for a very worthy cause. Christmas is a fantastic time at our pub. The atmosphere is great, everyone is winding down and we’ve got superb live music playing on certain dates. “The countdown to Christmas has now started and we can’t wait to welcome regulars and people who’ve never visited us. You’re guaranteed great service and warm hospitality.” Sun 21 December – The Nutty Bitch Band, 6pm. The fabulous Nutty Bitch Band will be playing in our first ever charity concert supporting the Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre at Mount Vernon Hospital between 6.00-9.00pm. This is a ‘pink evening’ so we would like as many of you as possible to dress in something pink. Tue 23 December – Tommy O’Flaherty from 8pm. Join us for more popular music with Tommy O’Flaherty. Christmas Carols at 8.00pm. Fri 26 December – Herga Mummers 1pm. In the 19th century, the mummers play was a well known part of Christmas in Pinner.
