A nine-year-old girl described representing Radlett Brownies at the King’s Birthday Parade as an “unforgettable experience”.
Gabby, who is part of the 1st Radlett Brownies, took part in the annual celebration in London on Saturday, June 14.
She watched the parade from the youth section, only a few metres away from the members of the royal family passing by.
Speaking after the event, Gabby said: “[It was] an unforgettable experience because you see the King and royal family in the carriages so close up that the rest of the public can’t be as close.
“I liked seeing the horses go past. I loved walking in the parade with the other Brownies and Guides who are friends that I made.”
Brownie and Guide leader Hannah Crewe shared her delight at Gabby’s role in the parade.
She said: “We are very proud of Gabby representing 1st Radlett Brownies. She has been in our unit for the past three years and is due to move up to Guides at the end of this term, so it is a great way for her to finish off her time at Brownies.”
