The Tour de Ricky will return to Woodoaks Farm this June, with an exciting array of new activities on offer.
This year’s event on Saturday, June 1, will feature three bike routes. The 200km loop will head south to the Thames at Benson, before circling back through the Chilterns via Marlow. The 100km circuit will take cyclists to Amersham, Tring and Stewkley and up the Ivinghoe Beacon, whilst the 50km ride will run on quiet roads towards Great Missenden.
Members of Watford Cycle Hub will be at Woodoaks Farm to stage a session on bike training and skills. SPOKES, the South West Herts cycling group, will explain how to get involved with their campaigns for improved local infrastructure and services for cyclists. Freewheel and Ridgeback will demonstrate the latest kit, and a number of local fitness groups will offer taster sessions.
Spokesperson Liam FitzPatrick said: “It’s going to be a bit like a festival. We want to cater to everyone, from the super fit to those simply curious about the world of cycling!”
Cyclists need to sign up for each of the three rides in advance, but everyone is welcome to come down to Woodoaks Farm on the day for taster sessions or just a cup of tea.
