The celebrated Abbots Langley Tough Ten event returned for its 40th edition yesterday (October 2).
Residents of all ages and abilities threw themselves into the fun with the Park run, 3k, 5k and 10k runs, with children as young as three getting stuck in.
All money raised will be distributed through to local charities, teams, clubs and residents in need.
In the past, funds raised have helped contribute to a resident’s brain surgery, and even provided a priceless VIP family trip to Harry Potter Leavesden studios after a father received a terminal diagnosis.
Pat Watmore of the Abbots Langley Tough Ten committee said: “It’s been a great day, and hopefully it will be a record year for us so we can distribute a lot of money to a lot of causes.”
