As the 2021/22 footballing season draws to a close, Ruislip Rangers can look back with a lot to shout about, with no less than 10 of their teams winning a major trophy this year.
The Men’s team, Under 16 Reds and the Under 15 Clarets Girls all won the first divisions in their leagues, whilst the Under 16 Clarets and Under 16 Blues came top of their second and third divisions respectively.
The Under 15s Clarets Girls also walked away with the League Cup, whilst the Under 16 Clarets were winners of the Chairman’s Cup.
The Under 16 Reds won the Middlesex County Cup, the Under 10 Clarets Girls won the Capital Girls Cup and together with Harrow Borough FC, the Under 23s were the winners of the League Cup Plate.
Ruislip Rangers were also able to hold their ever-popular football festival this May, for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic. Sponsored by Gibson Honey, over 200 teams attended, including two young sides from the French town of Mantes, twinning with Hillingdon borough.
Children enjoyed playing under the floodlights and were impressed by the silky skills of football freestyler, Steve Gray.
