Watford Swimming Club (WSC) had a successful championship run, securing tens of medals, setting new PBs and reaching final qualifiers.
From April 19 until May 12, across three weekends, hundreds of swimmers from across the region headed to the 2024 Swim England East Region, Long Course Championships.
Watford swimmers went up against the best swimmers in the East of England, where they had a fantastic Championships with lots of new PBs set, final qualifiers and nineteen medals won across the Championships. This more than doubles last year’s tally of nine total medals and is the club’s best medal haul in recent memory.
A spokesperson from the club told Watford News: “The club continues to go from strength to strength this season with the club looking likely to take a strong contingent of swimmers up to this year’s National Championships!”
