A Pinner museum is hosting two exhibitions starting this month, which will offer an exciting glimpse in the local area’s past.
First up at Headstone Manor & Museum, residents can explore Harrow’s architectural heritage in a pop-up exhibition from Wednesday, September 10, to Sunday, January 4.
The borough developed rapidly during the early 20th century with a variety of semi-detached houses. This suburban character contrasts with Harrow-on-the-Hill, where centuries-old buildings showcase Gothic Revival and Georgian styles.
This exhibition will show how Harrow’s buildings reflect its social history and urban evolution.
Locals will be able to delve even deeper into the past with the Harrow Rock Show at the museum, which will explore the geological history of the area.
Members of the Harrow & Hillingdon Geological Society will share rare and beautiful fossils and rocks from their personal collections, with a special focus on British fossils from the age of the dinosaurs.
Residents can visit this exhibition from Tuesday, September 16, to Sunday, January 4.
