Proving age is just a number, the Kings Langley Women’s Institute (WI) has been celebrating its 106th year in style.
Birthday celebrations saw members do-si-do their way through a line dancing evening and buffet at The Nap Community Centre, enjoying a night of rhythm, laughter, and joy.
Over the summer, the ladies swapped dancing shoes for deck shoes, enjoying a canal trip on one of the hottest afternoons of the year. They managed to stay refreshed with a delicious afternoon tea.
Leaves falling from the trees meant the start of the autumn programme began with a shimmy and sparkle as Shaddy’s Belly Dancing drew a full house of visitors, followed by a visit from singer and television presenter Janey Gee Grace, who shared tales from her showbiz days with the likes of Wham!
With theatre trips, wine tasting at Dallings, and clubs galore, the Kings Langley WI is all about fun, friendship, and building community spirit.
Visitors are always welcome, and meetings are held every second Tuesday at 7.30pm at The Nap Community Centre.
