A thriving restaurant in Abbots Langley has reflected on a highly successful year, topped off with their recent victory at a national awards ceremony.
The family-run restaurant Abbots Tandoori has served the local community for nearly four decades and has achieved a five-star hygiene rating twice within the same year. It also won Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award for two consecutive years.
The recognition places the restaurant in the top 10 per cent of restaurants worldwide, as well as ranking number one out of more than 1,000 locations on Tripadvisor in Hertfordshire and the Southeast.

Abbots Tandoori was also listed among the Top 100 Asian Restaurants in the UK in a ranking acknowledged by the House of Lords. It was recently featured by The Sun newspaper as one of the top 10 curry houses in the country and has recently achieved another five-star hygiene rating which is their third in a row.
Every Wednesday and Sunday, the restaurant hosts a four-course banquet night for residents for just £17.95, describing it as “the perfect mid-week treat and a real bargain”.
