Across the August bank holiday weekend, Chorleywood Lawn Tennis Club held their annual Sevens Fundraiser.
The tournament took on the club’s Sevens Tournament format, which consists of seven short sets of tennis, playing with a range of partners and against a variety of opponents.
After the thrilling matches, guests enjoyed sandwiches, cakes, scones and a drink at the bar.
All money raised through ticket sales has been donated to Cure Parkinson’s, a charity that funds, facilitates and encourages research into finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease. The total amount raised has yet to be confirmed.
Throughout the summer, the club has also hosted summer tennis camps for the up-and-coming tennis stars of the future, teaching four to 13 year olds the art of the game.
