June was a successful month for the pupils at Little Green Junior School in Croxley, as they achieved great successes in multiple areas.
The school’s Key Stage 2 girls’ football team, following a great season, triumphed over nearly 100 other local schools to be crowned the Key Stage 2 Sports Team of the Year at the recent Three Rivers & Watford Sports Awards.
The Year 6 tag rugby team also saw victory on the field, winning Little Green’s recent tag rugby partnership event with several other schools.
On the community side of things, headteacher Duncan Roberts stated how impressed he was with the pupils’ determination to clear up rubbish on the school site.
Students Isley and Jessica set up a litter picking competition that left the school and the surrounding area nearly spotless.
Mr Roberts said: “The common factor in all of our wins has been the collaboration and community spirit driving our children to be even better.
“We are so lucky to be in such a supportive community.”
