A member of Garston-based Watford Water Polo (WWP) has been selected for Great Britain’s U20 squad.
Dušan Crompton, who plays with WWP at Woodside Leisure Centre, will now train with the rest of the GB squad as they work towards the U20 European Water Polo Championships in Portugal between August 10 and 16, 2026.
The squad will attend monthly training camps, with the first one to be held at the Alan Higgs Centre over the weekend of November 8 and 9.
A squad of players will be selected to attend a training camp to be held in Malta in early December so that the players can work with head coach James Ross on their gameplay and structure as they build up to the championships.
Dušan was captain of the GB U18 team who competed in the recent U18 European Championships in August this year and is now passing on his experiences as coach to WWP’s U12 players.
