An Abbots Langley punter managed to turn £6 into more than £3,000 last month through an accumulated bet.
Paddy Power confirmed that their big winner on Friday, August 6 was from Abbots, and that they won a staggering £3,275 after their horse racing fourfold landed.
The betting company shared details about the win on their website, saying: “Our winner predicted the outcome of two races at Thirsk and a couple at Brighton on Friday.
“The stunning bet came in at 545/1 to make someone’s day, that’s for sure! Let’s tell you how it landed.
“The first race our punter was focussed on was the 1.50pm at Brighton. Our lucky winner had backed Spreadsheet (9/2).
“Attention then turned to Linda Perratt’s Nodsasgoodasawink in the 2.10pm at Thirsk, who set off at 12/1. Next up was the 2.25pm contest at Brighton, where our punter was desperate for the favourite Wonderful World (13/8) to handle business.
“Finally, our cute customer was left with Mr Trevor in the 2.45pm at Thirsk, who went off at 9/2. He pushed on with one furlong left and edged out Kats Bob. So, all we can do is welcome yet another lucky winner to our Punting Hall of Fame!”
