If you’ve always dreamt of taking to the skies and flying through the air without a care in the world, then a new charity challenge is offering the chance to do just that.
The team at Michael Sobell House, part of Mount Vernon Hospital in Northwood, will be leaping into action for an exhilarating skydive on Saturday, September 27. The challenge will raise money for the hospice to support those living with terminal or serious illnesses.
The team of 10, who will fly through the clouds from 10,000 feet at speeds of up to 120mph, are inviting aspiring adventurers to join them.
Participants are required to be at least 16 years old and must weigh under 13 stone, in proportion to their height.
The event will be held at Brackley Airfield in Northamptonshire, and there is a registration fee of £70 with a minimum sponsorship of £395.
A spokesperson for Michael Sobell House said: “Whether you are an adrenaline junkie or looking to challenge yourself in a once-in-a-lifetime way, this is your chance to leap from 10,000 feet, free-fall at 120mph, and support our hospice in delivering compassionate care to patients and families in our community.”
