People in Rickmansworth are being urged to do their bit for Sport Relief. With just two weeks to go hundreds of local people have already signed up to run one, three, or six miles in aid of Sport Relief but there’s still time to bag a place, don the fancy dress and enter the fun and games. The Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile takes place at Rickmansworth Aquadrome on Sunday, March 23. Enter now at www.sportrelief.com. Ryan Watson, Event Organiser said: “We are delighted that so many people have already signed up but we want even more to take part! You don’t need to be fit or sporty – you can run, walk or wiggle the mile! It’s all apart having fun and raising some money for a great cause. We’ve previously sold out before the event so book your place now to avoid any disappointment. Don’t forget to rope in your mates, family, boyfriend, girlfriend and colleagues too.” Entry to the Mile costs £6 for adults, £3 for children (Under 16), or £15 for a family (two adults and two children). The six mile will start at 10:30am, three mile at 11:00am and one mile at 11:15am. Ryan added: “We are still on the lookout for volunteers on the day so if running isn’t your thing please get in touch. No previous experience is required. All we ask is that you are friendly, willing and able to work as part of a team.” What are you doing for Sport Relief? Email tim@mynewsmag.co.uk
