TAKE PART: Chorleywood Residents’ Association looking for volunteers for Litter Pick day

Published on: 19th May 2021   |   By: Amneet Kaur   |   Category: Uncategorized

Chorleywood Residents’ Association (CRA) with the support of the parish council are organising a litter pick day and are looking for volunteers to take part.

The Common Litter Pick will take place on Saturday June 12 from 10am – 2pm.

Lisa from the CRA said: “We are looking for volunteer litter pickers to work with us on giving our Common a lovely spring clean, which ties in with the Keep Britain Tidy ‘Great British Spring Clean Campaign’.

“We will be able to provide litter pick sticks and sacks, but due to COVID-19 restrictions, volunteers will need to bring their own gloves.

“Our Common has been such a sanctuary to many of us in the past 18 months and provided so much joy, it only seems fair that we show it the love and respect it deserves.

“It has been sad to see the levels of litter and dog waste bags carelessly left behind by the mindless few, please help us to create a clean sheet for the Common and hope this encourages all future visitors to take all their litter home with them.”
