Tring Swimming Club (TSC) are reflecting on a summer of impressive performances.
TSC achieved another exciting milestone as they added a licenced long-distance meet to the annual Club Championships gala, where competitors achieved an impressive set of results. Highlights included Josh, the first TSC swimmer to achieve a sub-10-minute 800m, and Cora’s 6:06 400m free swim.
TSC were also extremely proud of all the swimmers who competed in the Peanuts League 2024 and showed a brilliant attitude and positive teamwork.
Senior coach Harry took part in a fundraising marathon run in May, and TSC launched new club-branded racing caps and a programme of long course training in the 50m pool at Luton.
A spokesperson told TRINGnews: “The summer was topped off by a perfect Sunday afternoon with all swimmers taking a well-earned break to chill and relax at its annual BBQ.
“Swimmers enjoyed the pool with training paused to make time for water polo, and the ever-popular floats. While parents, carers, and coaches enjoyed the sizzling hot dogs and burgers, cold drinks and beers on ice – and the sun was out too!
“As the competitive season now begins, the club is looking forward to more personal bests, and even greater achievements over the coming season.”
