It’s been a fantastic season so far for Ruislip Cricket Club (RCC), with success coming for several of the teams that fall under their umbrella.
The club’s Saturday second team have had an incredible run as of late, with an eight-game winning streak propelling them to second place in the Thames Valley eighth division, thanks to an amazing century and three 50 scores from the outstanding James Hale.
Elsewhere, the small but thriving club’s Saturday first team currently sits third out of 10 teams in their league, the fourth division. Both teams are now gunning for promotion in their leagues, which will depend on their results as the season goes forward.
The club’s Sunday first team side have also been doing well, in their first season back in the Chess Valley League since 2015. Five games into the season, they sit in a solid fourth place, also with promotion in their hands.
Most recently, A 141 partnership between Jono Benstead and Neil Smith helped contribute to a brilliant run chase of 244, whilst playing away against another side based in the capital, London Maccabi Vale.
