SUPER STRIKERS: Hatch End footballing duo climb from grassroots club to national team

Published on: 6th April 2024   |   By: Panayiota Demosthenous   |   Category: Uncategorized

Two Hatch End footballers who started their careers with a local grassroots team are now playing for their country.

Lewi Richards and Theo Omal started playing at Parkfield Youth FC at just five years old, where they excelled within the team. It wasn’t surprising that both players were scouted by Chelsea and Arsenal. Now, the duo have made their England debuts for the Under 16 side.

Speaking to Pinnernews, their former Parkfield Youth FC coach Ali Jobe said: “They were both bubbly and full of energy, two very talented players.

“Lewi’s mum still drops his younger brother off to play with us; she tells me he’s doing very well and they’ve got high hopes for him. Being able to represent your country at such a young age is amazing!”
