Cameras rolling, so if you thought dumping rubbish in Pinner would go unnoticed, think again.
On Thursday, January 8, Councillor Ramji Chauhan shared footage as part of Harrow Council’s ‘Fly-tipping Wall of Shame’, which exposes offenders caught illegally dumping waste across the borough, including incidents in Pinner.
The video forms part of an ongoing council crackdown which uses CCTV to tackle environmental crime. Cllr Chauhan said: “Fly-tipping isn’t just disgusting, it’s a criminal offence carried out by those who have no respect for their neighbourhood.
“Our cameras have caught offenders in action, and we need your help in identifying them.”
The footage also includes cases from Edgware, Rayners Lane, Stanmore, Harrow Weald and Kenton, and Pinner residents are urged to remain vigilant and report recognisable individuals. While some offenders have already been identified, others are still being sought.
The ‘Wall of Shame’ will be updated monthly.
Councillor Chauhan added: “It will help send a strong message to anyone who thinks this behaviour is okay.”
