SPOOKY SERIES: Television series offers viewers an insight into Amersham’s paranormal activity

Published on: 13th January 2021   |   By: Dean Shaw   |   Category: Uncategorized

Amersham’s ghostly goings on are to feature on television later this month as part of the series World’s Most Unexplained.

The series focusses on locations across the world which are most prone to paranormal activity with the Amersham episode being aired on January 31 at 8.30pm on CBS Reality.

The episode will follow the Amersham Ghost Tour which was set up five years ago by Ashley Darkwood, who has also been a paranormal investigator for over 20 years.

Producers became aware of Amersham’s paranormal story after Ashley visited New York, where he took part in a separate documentary.

He said: “We filmed the interviews in Manhattan, and afterwards, the producer took us out to dinner.

“She asked where I thought the most haunted place in the UK was, and I told her one pub on my Amersham Ghost Tour beats the rest.

“I showed her my tour script and her eyes lit up. Shortly after arriving home from New York, I was contacted by a researcher from the Dublin office. I supplied them with my tour script to use as a backbone to the episode and week later they had flown over to England to film around the Old Town.

“They also interviewed myself, some other experts such as historians, and witnesses.

“Viewers can expect see a great snapshot of some of the most interesting and intriguing tales of Amersham’s ghostly goings on, it’s brutal history and some great photography that the film crew got.

“The episode has already aired in the USA and now my website gets hundreds of hits per day from North America, I remain hopeful this episode will be good for a bit extra tourism for the town.”

Ashley will be doing a live Q&A after the episode airs with more information available at wycombeparanormal.com/hauntedamersham.html#
