Residents in Croxley were treated to a spectacular sight earlier this month as a meteor flew over the village.
A green flash sped across the country on May 12 with the meteor picked up on multiple UK dash and doorbells, including in Croxley.
The UK Meteor Network (UKMON) received hundreds of reports from those that witnessed the meteor which also helped them track its trajectory.
It was first spotted in the south west just after 12.30am before travelling east to Croxley and Hertfordshire.
Local resident, Tracey Gumbrill, told My Croxley News: “I saw the flash as I looked out of my bedroom window and thought it was an aircraft in trouble.
“I then checked social media to see others had seen it and that it was probably a meteor.”
Footage of the meteor flying over Croxley can be seen on YouTube and searching for videos by Chorleywood trail camera.
