The Edgware and Stanmore Rotary Club have been busy delivering flowers to the community to combat isolation and have put plans in place to take this further.
Peter Bradley, joint community chair, said they wanted to share the pleasure of garden flowers with the community.
He said: “Little things can bring great pleasure at no cost so he was delighted to team up with Rachel of My Yard to make bouquets for those elderly and vulnerable feeling very isolated.”
Peter said they have an exciting project planned for the end of October.
He said: “What is exciting about teaming up with Rachel of My Yard, who provides food, meals and much more to some of the most vulnerable in South Harrow, is that we can do a small project locally.
“One Stone Grove have offered us facilities to cook a few takeaway meals and assemble food parcels from donations from City Harvest to deliver to some of the most vulnerable in society.”
