Many residents are aware that Pinner has something special to offer, and residents now have a chance to protect the village’s character.
Harrow Council has suggested three new Local Areas of Special Character (LASC) across Kenton, West Harrow, and Pinner.
Recognising neighbourhoods that have a special look or feel, LASCs help to preserve the quality of architecture and landscape for future generations.
Unlike Conservation Areas, LASCs don’t change what you can build without planning permission – but if permission is needed, the work must respect the area’s character.
The proposed areas include 18-40 (even) and 51-53 (odd) on West End Lane, and 79-81 on West End Avenue in Pinner.
The areas were selected based on their unique identity, well-kept buildings, street layouts, and features that are special to the community.
Residents living in the proposed areas will receive a letter and are invited to take part in the consultation at www.shorturl.at/6nb8a
The consultation is now open until 12pm on Wednesday, July 23.
